Assumptions about college admissions leave students with fewer options. I help families plan and prepare.
Helping students and families approach college admissions with calm, clarity, & confidence
Relying on advice that is outdated or stripped of the context that makes it true can be costly in today's college admissions landscape. I help families plan for the best and consider what if scenarios to maximize options.
Each college in the US uses different admissions criteria to admit students according to their own institutional priorities. They aren't going to tell you not to apply, even if admission is highly unlikely. And they certainly won't tell you that other colleges also have high quality programs you should check out.
School counselors are hard working and dedicated professionals -- who juggle big caseloads and widespread responsibilities. They may not have time to give each student individual attention.
Other parents might offer advice, but they might not understand the context around the admissions results their family experienced.
I work for individual families and get to know their student and their family. In our time together, I'll suggest options you might not have thought of. I'll bring both encouragement and realism.
Focused on fit, not rankings. I stay current with trends and best practices through conferences, roundtable discussions, and college visits.
